It was not our plan to camp here. It ended up being a great experience anyway. Originally we were suppose to got to Jericho, N.H. and camp out and ride ATV's on the trails over there, but Covid-19 put a halt to pretty much all our summer plans including this one. We decided to still go camping just a little closer to home. Just a few short miles actually. It wasn't until recently that we even knew about Kingdom Campground. We were driving around one afternoon and decided to do a drive through. Turns out its a lot bigger than I ever would have expected and offers more than I would have thought. To say the least we were pleasantly surprised.
We cancelled our reservations in Jericho and booked a week long tent camping site at Kingdom Campground. I had to work during the week, but it worked out really well because my office was literally 5 minutes down the road. We could also bring our 3 month old puppy, Zion and go back and forth to our house as needed.
The campground offered 2 bath houses complete with showers. A outdoor salt water pool. Access to the river just a short walking distance from the campground. Golf carts for a small fee, corn hole under the pavilion and even a batting cage. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly and neighborly. The camp store had everything we needed from groceries, beer, deli subs, souvenirs, fire wood, ice and the most amazing homemade bacon maple donuts ever!
It was nice to get away for a week even if it was just down the road. The staff was helpful and friendly and all the campers we ran into were as well. It truly felt like a community and not just a campground.
