Donahue Sea Caves

Looking up and out
Donahue Sea Cave

This is probably would of the shortest hikes I have ever been on. We wanted to get out and do something different and get a change of scenery so we decided to go for a long drive. We ended up in the Burlington, VT area. In an effort to stay clear of Covid we decided to go on a short hike instead of our usual shopping experience when we come to this area. The hike we found seemed pretty cool and relatively easy so we went for it.

The trail was much busier than what I would have liked, but we stayed distant from everyone and it was fine. The trail goes down a pretty steep grade and levels out at the bottom, opening up to a small frozen lake. It was awesome to see all the different people spread out on the lake enjoying different activities. Some were ice skating, some brought sleds and some were even having a picnic.

We made our way over to the sea caves to find a small little opening on the side of the cliff. Inside you'll find a small but really cool little cave. If you're in the Burlington area this is definitely a neat little side trip to take and check out.
